Experiment Name: Study on grinding process.
Theory: Grinding is a material removal and surface generation process used to shape and finish the components to shape and finish the components made of metals and other materials. The precision and surface finish obtained through grinding can be up to ten times better than with either turning or milling.
There are many types of grinding are available but mostly used are
Cylindrical Grinding.
Internal Grinding
Center less Grinding
Surface Grinding.
Safety Equipment:
- Safety Glass
- Safety gloves
- Work boots
Working Procedure:
A) At first gather the tools and use all the safety equipment to start grinding process.
B) Here we are using surface grinding process where the grinding wheel is rotating and the work piece is fixed. So we need to power up the tool.
C) When its start rotate with standard speed we can hold the work piece with grinding wheel to achieve smooth surface of grinding work piece.
D) We have to hold the work piece tightly with standard force apply towards grinding wheel, we have to focus about the angle between the wheel and work piece.
